Before practice
- Check local heat, air-quality, lightning, and field policy.
- Know participant needs and emergency contacts under your organization’s process.
- Prepare water, shade, rest, and communication.
Coaches must evaluate field conditions, monitor players, provide hydration and rest, follow local policy, and modify, shorten, postpone, or cancel sessions when conditions require it.
The Practice Builder’s exertion levels, weighted load, hot-weather filtering, and water-break suggestions are general planning indicators. They do not replace medical advice, participant-specific restrictions, certified athletic or medical staff, local governing-body standards, or coach responsibility.
